This is a card using The "He knows" image. I stamped, colored and cut the flowers, and layered them for the 3d effect. I made the the frame using Labels foue and circle nestabilities dies. The sentiment is from the "mini message cursive set". I cuttlebug embossed the background and lightly sponged it to achieve the shabby chic look. The borderpunch is from Fiskars. I stamped the image "Thoughts of you" three times on White c.s., using Brilliance Graphite Black ink and then colored with my Prismacolor pencils and blended the colors with Odorless Mineral Spirits. Then, cut out the girl image in second and third stamped image and 3-d. I layered the image on yellow c.s. and applied it to a card base. I made the border using my "Floral lace" edger punch (from Martha Stewart). The inside of the "Thoughts of You" card where I used a "Friendship background" and sentiment "Garden of Life".To finish the card, I added some Dew Drops, Gemstones, Clear Stickles, Clear glaze and white pens and piercings. "For all labels I used my Cricut and "Storybook" cartridge from Provo Craft. I stamped the image "I'll Bee Thinking"" using Brilliance Graphite Black ink and then colored with my Prismacolor pencils and blended the colors with Odorless Mineral Spirits and sponged around the edges with Caramel (Adirondack) craft ink. Then, I stamped the sentiment "Bee Happy"onto the cream circle. Lastly I used the top part of Swirl from "Storybook" cartridge (Cricut) for decoration. For background I stamped the "Buzy Bees" Background using a caramel dye based ink and colored the bees with a yellow Stickles. Next, I added the stamped "Honey pot" and the Dew Drops. The inspiration for this card is very random...I purchased some quick oats the last time we went to town, and as a free gift with my purchase, I received a ring of oatmeal recipes on oven-mitt shaped papers. These weren't recipes you'd imagine with oatmeal, really...mostly they were Indonesian recipes where they tried to substitute oats where they would normally use rice. Ummm....no thanks. Cute paper though! I shortened the length of the 'mitt' to use as a mitten pattern and cut a cuff out of felt, pierced around the edge and added some faux stitching with a Souffle pen. I had the snowflake ornament in my stash from an after-Christmas clearance sale. CREATED BY: DINA

I stamped the Nativity Scene image on kraft cardstock and used 2 Prismacolor pencils (Ivory and Dark Umber) to shade and highlight, blending occasionally with odorless mineral spirits. I added glitter highlights on the rays of the star, extending the downward ray down to the manger. To add some pink in, I found a bit of ribbon that was 2 colors of brown with a pink polka-dot, and sponged a little pink on my sentiment tag (Christmas Greeting). Just that little touch of pink softened the whole card without detracting from the image. CREATED BY: DINA

In this card, I used the brayer technique for the background on the main image, then stamped the "Silhouette Trees" over the top using Rich Cocoa (Momento) craft ink. The base ink is from a Big and Juicy pad -"Foliage". Then, I stamp the image " Medium Window", colored with my Prismacolor pencils and then cut out in the middle of the window and placed on dimentionals. For frame, I used Spellbinders Frameabilities "Foliage frame". The inside card I stamped image "Open Leaf" and sentiment from"Mini Message Cursive"stamp set. This card uses "A Blessed Christmas" 979E I used Marvy Le Plume markers in Victorian Rose & Olive Green to color the stamp, then stamped on to cream cardstock. I used Nestabilities Labels 1 to cut shape, then distressed edges & sponged with distress inks. I punched out 3 Single holly leaves using the Mega Single Holly punch from the punch bunch and sponged the edges and shaped. I glued the holly and buttons in to place. The designer paper is from a kit by Flair designs. I also layered the ric rack over the green grosgrain ribbon, over a strip of cream cardstock that I distressed & sponged. The stamped panel with the holly leaves is attatched with pop dots.

For the horizontal strips, I used Spellbinders Fancy Tags. The sentiment is stamped on Spellbinders Ribbon Tags Trio. To finish the card, I added some Dew Drops, Ribbon, Gemstones and piercings."

Poinsettia, Chickadee Surprise, and Autumn Cards

I cut the sentiment in half, and then only used part of it! The full sentiment says "God Bless You on your Birthday". I colored the "Chickadee Surprise" with Neopiko markers, shaded with Prismacolor pencils, and added texturing with the Neopiko blender pen. Her hood is covered with Ivory Flower-Soft. I masked some hills of snow with a torn paper edge, and then went along the lines with glitter to highlight the snow. For the snowflake trails I pierced along a flourish template (really technical...I printed it on the computer, traced onto a clear envelope, then pierced holes along the lines) and connected the dots with hand-stitching. The falling snow is just small dots of acrylic paint, applied with a small stylus. You can visit my blog for a tutorial on the background panel, which is made with strips of designer paper. I ran that panel through my Zip-e-Mate with a Fiskars texture plate, and lightly sanded the raised swirls.

I used Marvy LePlume markers in Wine, Plum, & Laurel green to ink the "Poinsettia&Berry Cluster", then stamped on to watercolor paper. I masked the image and added more of the berries to one side. I colored in the image with the inks from the same markers. I used Nestabilities labels 4 to cut image & solid layering piece. I also stamped a second Poinsttia and colored the same. I carefully cut out, shaped & glued this poinsettia on top of the first colored image. I glued tiny seed beads in the center, and added Burgundy Glitter. The designer paper is by Basic Grey Eskimo Kisses collection.

Autumn and Floral Cards

Hi Everyone,
Everything I love about autumn is finally here.... the farmers in our area are busy harvesting corn and soy beans, leaves are changing color and lazily falling to the ground, my mom's "to die for" homemade apple pie, fresh apples from the local orchard, ( I think they taste better every year), and don't forget the apple cider, ohhh that's so good when freshly pressed! Ok, I've probably made all of your taste buds go crazy by now and I can't do anything about it, so here's a solution with no calories, ( I say this after having eaten two slices of apple pie, with a scoop of ice cream) the following cards for this weeks post are amazing and will satisfy your creative taste buds! I used the brayer technique for the my glossy background on the main image, then stamped the "Bold Leaf" over the top using Tuxedo Black (Memento) craft ink. The base ink "Autumn Leaves" is from a Kaleidacolor Dye inkpad. For tags, I used my NEW Making Memories "Slice machine" with new Studio Essential Design Card. I stamped the sentiment "Happy Thanksgiving!" on a cream tag using Rainbow craft ink and sponged the edges with green craft ink. To finish the card, I added some Gemstones, Dew Drops, a border using Spellbinders Bordebilities "Lattice", Corner punch ("Heritage" from Fiskars), Edge punch ("Scallop Diamond from EK Success) and piercings." I absolutely love this stamp - ! This is "He Knows". As soon as I got it, I *carefully* cut it into 4 sections. It fits right back together like a puzzle if I want to stamp the full image, as I did here, but I can also rearrange the pieces (move the first 3 lines over, for example, or stamp them on a card front with the rest of the verse inside the card, stamp just the bottom roses with the last sentence, stamp the roses alone or with another sentiment, etc, etc, etc.......) for an entirely different look.

Both cards were created in the same way, just using different colors. I stamped the full image on Canson watercolor paper, then stamped the two rose clusters separately, and painted everything with a combination of Shimmerz, watercolor pencils, and reinkers. I trimmed and shaped the roses and a few leaves, then glued them onto my base panel to create dimension. Each flower center is filled with tiny glass beads (burgundy card) or gold glitter (sage card). I cut the square and deckle edge with Coluzzle templates.

I colored the whole stamp with Marvy LePlume marker in Sepia & stamped on to water color paper.

I used the inks from Marvy LePlume markers (colored on to a palette) then applied with a water color paint brush (#1 size) The colors I used are Mocha, Rosewood, Brown, Olive Green, Olive Brown, Mustard, Terra Cotta, English Red. After I colored the image I color dusted Antique Linen distress ink over the entire image. Then I cut out using nestabilities in circle, I cut the coordinating solid card stock with nestabilities Labels 3. The designer paper is by K&Co, all the edges are distressed & sponged with Tea Dye distress ink. I made a bow from ribbon & applied over the image, and I used pop dots to add dimension. Stamp the "Silent Night" with Rhubarb Stalk ink as a background on white c.s. Stamp the "Ancient Scroll" on top of the "Silent Night background with gold ink and heat emboss with Roman Gold. Color the "Ancient Scroll" with Tombow Marker #837 and blend with #N00, and then cut the "Ancient Scroll out. Stamp The "Classic Peace on the right hand corner in black and stamp the"Angel" on vellum with gold ink and emboss with gold embossing powder. Cut it out and layer it on top of the "Ancient Scroll." Add some self adhesive jewels and a flower to accent the card and layer on a mauve c.s., tear the edges of the mauve c.s. and layer on a dk. maroon. Finished card size 4x5 CREATED BY: EMMA LOU

For this card I stamped the rose "Rose Bouquet" image several times on watercolor paper, colored with Neopiko markers, then cut out individual elements and arranged them around the edge of my oval frame. Some of the roses are popped up with foam tape for a 3-d effect. I love this image for its ability to stand alone, fill a corner, or to be cut apart and rearranged. The words in the hymn verse are something I've found to be so true, especially since we've been living overseas as missionaries the last 4+ years - a kindredness in the Lord that transcends culture. 1229G Autumn Corsage

I inked (colored) the stamp with Marvy LePlume markers in Dusty Pink, English Red, & Laurel Green,& Mustard- then stamped it on to watercolor paper. I used the inks from the same markers plus Olive Green & Pine Green (colored on to a palette) using a watecolor paintbrush & tiny amount of water I colored in the image. Then I used a color duster to stipple Antique Linnen Distress Ink over the entire image ~ This makes the background not be stark white. I used some pastels to shade a little around the ouside of the flower, then I cut out the image using Spellbinders Nestabilities Labels One and used Fire Brick Red Distress Ink to sponge around the edges. I glued a piece of crochet trim (in an antique linnen color) around the edges of the back side of the image. I also glued the same trim to a strip of burgundy grosgrain ribbon.

The bottom layer of the card is deep racy Raspberry/colormates by worldwinpapers, then the pink designer paper is from K&Co. I used pop dots to lift the image up a little as it is layered over the ribbon. Then Lastly I tied a bow from the grosgrain ribbon and glued on to the image. Finished card is 5 1/2 X 5 1/2. The piercings in the corners is done using a piercerabilities die from spellbinders. I finished the card off with some pearls for an accent.

I've been looking at vintage book illustrations lately, which are typically colored with 3 basic colors, so I thought I'd try to duplicate that look on this card. This is watercolored, with Shimmerz on a few areas. The wreath was stamped on a separate scrap of WC paper and layered on my main panel. Double bow made with Bow-Easy. The snow on the door/sled is done with white acrylic paint, and there's more Shimmerz on the ground. The eyelet bar is from Making Memories.

Embellish with thread, Dew Drops, Clear Stickles and some piercings to accent the card.

The background was made by using orange c.s., and stamping acorn corner leaf "Acorn Leaf". Next, I stamped the "Acorn Spray", colored with pencils (blended with OMS) then cut it out and adhered with pop dots on ribbon bow. Another birdie card,
I know...Had to see them other than blue though - so here is another look...not sure what kind of bird this makes them, but that's ok...! Coloring is done with Prismacolor pencils, with ink sponged around the edges for a vintage look. Here's a card for those horse lovers in your life.
I stamped the image "Horse Portrait" a two times using Brilliance Graphite Black ink and then colored with my Prismacolor pencils and blended the colors with Odorless Mineral Spirits, then cut out. Then, I popped horse onto the base image, used a foam tape. I cut the tag with my Cricut with "Fabulous Finds" cartridge and stamped sentiment ("Mini Message Cursive" stamp set). To finish the card, I stamped the "Horse shoe", cut out and glued in the top of the right corner of the card, I added some Gemstones, String, White gel pen and of course, piercings." Not sure why, but I've been inspired lately to pull out my acrylic paints...it's also been a while since I altered a hymn, so this card was really satisfying to make. You can find this hymn sheet music and more here if you'd like to try altering a hymn too! I printed the hymn on tan cardstock and stamped the "Seagull Roost" over the printing. I masked it before painting to get the effect of waves crashing against the pilings and rocks. The waves are painted with a 'scruffy brush' - that is one of Donna Dewberry's one-stroke brushes, which you can find anywhere her supplies are sold...it worked really well for this effect! I was able to tie the sailor knot by studying this photo... still sort of impressed with myself (although I'm sure I could never do it again on my own)! The horizon line and edges were sponged with Sepia ink, and I stamped the "Clematis Spray" around the edges for a little added flourish. CREATED BY: DINA

Take a cream c.s. and randomly background stamp the "Holly Swirl" with Gold Encore Ink and heat emboss with gold. Color the berries with a marker. On a seperate paper stamp the "Holly Bells" with Gold Encore and heat emboss in gold. Colored with Tombow Markers. Cut out in the shape of an oval and layer on matching c.s.. Cut a rectangular shape out of of red c.s. and layer. Stamp the "Script Holidays" on the bottom with gold encore and heat emboss in gold. Layer everything together, and add ribbon and brads to finish it out.

I stamped the Baby Bluebirds (815E) image 4 times and colored these little cuties with Prismacolor pencils, adding highlights and speckles here and there with a white Souffle pen. Each bird is trimmed and 'popped' up with foam tape, along with a few of the leaves. The bottom of the houndstooth panel is punched across with a corner punch from EK Success, and the white panel is embossed with a Fiskars texture plate. 1132G Rejoicing Bluebirds

I made this card using the "Rejoicing Bluebirds". The image is laid out in such a way that it can be divided into 3 parts - the birds on the branch, the sentiment, and the branch above. Rather than making myself crazy masking, I carefully cut my stamp up - now I have 3 stamps that can be used alone or together, rearranged, or whatever fits my card! I wanted to make my focal panel an oval, so I arranged my stamps on the acrylic block first, stamped, and then trimmed out my image. I stamped the branch 3 more times, then painted and cut the flowers out to piece around the edge of my little scene. All watercoloring is done with Adirondack reinkers and a Niji waterbrush. I layered a corner of a square cake doilie underneath the oval, then tacked on a baby rick-rack bow, which I made with a Bow-Easy. Each flower center is filled with micro glass beads. We stamped one of the flowers out of "HC 217" in Purple encore ink, 3 times, on double sided scrapbook paper. We punched the flowers out with the matching "Flower Clever Lever Punch." After you have punched the flowers out, you will need to make score lines as indicated in the diagram flower. You start out by making to individual triangles that finish with the star of David shape. Next you want to make a score line in the center of each petal, (only 1 indicated). After you have made all the score lines you need to fold the flower, see card images for the best description. Stamp the leaves on a matching scrapbook paper with ivy brilliance and adhere the flowers to the card. CREATED BY: LINDA

Stamp the "Large Bible Frame" on a terra cotta cardstock with black ink. Stamp the "Large Bible Frame" three different times on cream cardstock with black ink and heat emboss with detail clear. Stamp the "Christmas Story" background in a Dk. brown ink on each of the three stamped Bible panels. Take the "Holly Swirl" and randomly background stamp across the center of the bible. Cut out each stamped "Bible Frame, " cutting each one just a tad smaller than the one before, (refer to pics).On your top panel you will want to stamp the "Jesus" saying on the left side with black ink and heat emboss in clear. Stamp the "Holly Swirl" in black on cream cardstock, color with tombow markers, add some of the dries clear glue and glitter of you choice, and then cut it out. Layer it on the top panel. Around the outer edges of the "Large Bible Frame," we went along the edge with a gold leafing pen. Attach a ribbon in the center and using 3-d glue dots layer the "Large Bible" panels together. It is Wednesday once again, (time seems to fly) especially the older you get. I celebrated my 23rd birthday yesterday and I know a lot of folks older than me say that I don't qualify to say that time is speeding by yet, but anyways, my husband also just turned 25, I'm not kidding, we were doing a convention in Valley Forge the weekend of his birthday and of course he gets the famous question at the register, "how old are you?" Ummm, 25 the one lady turns a little white and turns to her friend and says, please don't ask him the same question I just did. I thought he was 16 going on 17. We love, love to have fun with this!

Stamp the "Stacking Poinsetta" three different times on white shimmer paper with encore gold ink and emboss with gold embossing powder. Use a craft knife and cut out center of the third layer petals (use as main image, completely cut out the 4th and 5th layer and 3-d on top of the main image. Stamp the "swirl background" in gold and emboss and layer the " Stacking Poinsetta" on top. Finish the card by layering it on a couple pieces of c.s. and add a ribbon. Finished card size is 6x6. As I post my blog today, I still have ink marks on my arm and fingers... I'm sure you cann't guess what I was doing! Oh my, it is so relaxing to just sit down and pull out those stamps, glue, ink, paper, markers, and let the creativity flow. I hear so many of you tell me over and over how stress-relieving cardmaking is, (and I so agree) so if you have let yourself get caught up in all the demands of life and hectic schedules, you might want to set aside a couple hours within the next week and dig out those stamps and everthing else that gets your creativity pumped up. Take a piece of cream c.s. and stamp the "Stone Bridge" in the lower left corner in colorbox black and heat emboss in clear. Clean the stamp and ink it with Brilliance Ivy, stamp off on a scrap paper and finish stamping the tree background randomly. Stamp the " Rocky Foreground" and the " Rock & Flowers" as fillers around the bridge. Stamp the "Watchful Whitetail" on a separate piece of cardstock. Color everything with Tombow markers and sponge in the grassy areas with Olive Pastel chalk ink. Use an x-acto knife and make two slits on the top of the rocks and then cut out the "Watchful Whitetail" and insert the feet behind the rock and adhere 3-d. First of all, let's talk about the zoo layout. I am sure lots of you have taken your kids to the zoo this summer, and you have these zoo photos laying around that need to be scrapped. We have 4 fabulous zoo animal sets and today I am featuring the "Monkey Set". I personally believe that the monkeys are probably the funniest and most entertaining animal at the zoo, this set is my best seller of the four. Now, if you don't do any scrapping, no problem, these sets make wonderful cards for the kids and goofy people in you life.

Stamp each one of the monkeys from this zoo set in black and heat emboss. Color with tombow markers and add some googly eye, crushed velvet flock and glitter, cut out. Add the monkeys wherever desired.

Stamp the "Autumn Corsage" and color with distress ink. I layered it for the 3d effect. Add rhinestones to the rose, and crystal laquer to the berries for a more realistic look. I used a spellbinders "Classic Frame" die cut and then heat embossed the dry embossed area with gold embossing powder. Layer on a couple pieces of cardstock and add some piercings. "In this card I used " Bluebird" stamp and "Mini Message Cursive" stamps set. The image " Bluebird" I stamped in Graphite black ink. Then I colored with Prismacolor pencils (blended with Odorless Mineral Spirits). Then, I maked the background with Aqua and Stonewashed craft ink (Adirondack) used brayer technique.

Stamped the sentiment "I think you're so special!" (created with my Classic Nestabilities circles). For embellishments I used some Dew Drops, Gemstones, Ribbon and some piercings to accent the card."

Color only the flowers in your 2nd stamped image and cut those out and 3d them on top of the first main image you cut out. Take a piece of white c.s. and stamp the "Amazing Grace" in dk. brown chalk ink. Take a sponge and sponge the center with creamy brown and the outer edge with olive pastel chalk ink. I stamped the "Soaring Eagle" in Graphite black ink. Then I colored with Prismacolor pencils (blended with Odorless Mineral Spirits) and cut out. Next, I stamped the "Crackle background" on white c.s. using Coffee Bean ink and mounted the "Soaring Eagle" on my oval (created with my Classic Nestabilities Oval) .
In first base background I used a patterned paper (K & Company) and the second background was made by using cream patterned paper and stamping "crackle background". The other embellishments I added include: a sentiment tag (made with my Spellbinder's Tag Trio die and stamped Crackle background), ribbon, button and Dew Drops". Created By: Olena

Metal Tip

Stamp the front panel of the clear cardstock randomly with the "snowy swirl" in white stazon ink. Flip your panel around and take your dries clear glue with the metal tip and trace the stamped image and sprinkle your glitter over it. Sponge around the edge with your white stazon, and then put a bead of glue around the outer edge of the inside front cover and sprinkle glitter over it. Give this some time to dry. In the meantime, stamp the "Cozy Snowman" in Black colorbox and emboss, color with tombows, and add glitter, punch it out with a circle punch and layer on a dk blue scalloped circle. Add a ribbon to you clear card and attach the "cozy snowman" towards the left and then stamp the "warm wishes" beside it in midnight blue stazon. You can attach a panel of cardstock on the inside and stamp a message on it and sign your name there. Created By: Linda

"There isn't a lot of stamping on this card. The labels were cut using my Cricut and Storybook cartridge from Provo Craft. I stamped the sentiment onto the cream label using Jumbo Java (VersaMagic) ink. Just to add a bit of color (craft ink) on the flowers. Then, I sponged around the edges with New Sprout (Memento) craft ink. The Designed paper is from the Basic Grey paper pad called Two Scoops. I made the border using my edge punch and layering that cute Ribbon in the middle of the border. For embellishments, I added some Dew Drops, Stickles, Gemstones and of course, piercings". Stamp "Founded on Jesus Christ Background" with dk. brown chalk ink on cream c.s. Stamp the swirl from "HC210D" randomly around the edges with creamy brown and dk. brown chalk ink. Ink the flag with midnight blue and merlot (stamping off) to get a lighter effect, stamp randomly. On a separate piece of cream c.s. ink the flag in midnight blue and merlot colorbox and heat emboss with clear. Cut it out, leaving an edge around the flag and then distress it with dk. brown and creamy brown chalk ink. Stamp the "Bold Celebrate and America the Beautiful" on vellum with midnight blue colorbox and heat emboss with clear. Tear edges and distress with dk. brown. I stamped and embossed the "Board Frame," cut it out and colored it with distress inks. I stamped the "Morning Glory Border" randomly on white c.s. and colored with distress inks and added pearls. I placed 3-d tape behind the "Board Frame" and layered it on top of the "Morning Glory Border." The congratulations was printed off the computer. The background was made using a cuttlebug embossing folder. Layered on a couple more pieces of c.s. and addded a border of accenting lace.

This is another version of the "morning Glory Border."I stamped the "Morning Glory Border" in black on white c.s. and embossed in black and colored with Tombow Markers. Cut it out in the shape of an oval, cut the second layer with a scallop scissors and use a 1/16" punch to get the lacy look. layer on and ice blue c.s. oval. Randomly stamp the "Morning Glory Border" in ice blue chalk ink on a white c.s. panel. Stamp the "Speedy Recovery" in the top right hand corner. Cut out a patterened c.s. strip add a ribbon and layer everything. Add dewdrops to embellish and added glitter to the hummer.

Stamp "Wildlife Retreat" in Black and emboss with detail black embossing powder 2 times on white c.s. I colored the scene using chalks for the areas that I wanted to have lighter and then use Tombow Markers to add darker colors and blended. On the second stamped "Wildlife Retreat" color the mallards only and cut them out and 3-d onto the main image. Add some crystal laquer to the water and some glitter, dewdrops and a ribbon. Layer this panel on a ochre c.s., patterned c.s. and dk green c.s.

"The "Daisy Bouquet" was stamped in Brilliance Graphite Black ink onto white c.s., colored with Prismacolor markers, White Gel pen and Glaze Gelly Roll Pen (clear), cut out with a circle Nestabilities die. The scalloped yellow circles are also Nestabilities. Then, I layered the image on top of a patterned paper, then on top of a yellow c.s and orange card. A second time, I stamped the flower on White c.s., colored and cut them out and then layered for added dimension. The sentiment "Happy Birthday" and butterfles I stamped inside of the card.

Dries Clear Glue

Stamp the "floral swirl" on clear cardstock using brown stazon ink. Take the circle cutter and cut a circle in the clear cardstock starting on the left swirl and cutting until you come to the right swirl. Trim around the "floral swirl" with a scissors. Flip the stamped image around and put dries clear glue on the back of the "floral swirl" image and sprinkle glitter over it. This will dry clear and then show thru the clear cardstock. Cut out a pink circle and randomly stamp the "dot daisy border" around the border and ink the life is good on the "happiness background" and stamp in the center. Matte it on the dk. brown circle. Glue your clear c.s. circle on top of the pink circle. Stamp a precut scallop circle card with the "happiness background" in brown staz on. Stamp the "diamond dust" randomly, in colorbox white, on a celadon c.s, and stamp the "happiness background" with brilliance ivy on top and emboss everything at one time using detail clear embossing powder. Stamp the "tiny swirl border" around the edge in brilliance ivy.

Ink the U in the "happiness background" with brilliance ivy and emboss in detail clear. Cut the U out and layer 2 silk flowers and attach to the bottom left corner. Layer stamped c.s. on multiple colors of c.s. and add pearls in the corners if desired. Created by: Linda

I stamped the "sm. bold flower" on vellum, and punched it out with the matching punch and layered it on top of the flowers you stamped in dk moss. Stamp 12 petals on vellum with colorbox white and heat emboss with Bridal and color the flowers pink. Cut out and fold petals in half, (soft crease, so the petals have some dimensions). Take a glue dot ( keep it on the release paper) and start arranging 6 petals in a circle on the glue dot. Put another glue dot in the center of your first layer of petals and then arrange the next 6 petals in a circle. Put a pearl in the center of the petals. Take a piece of clear cardstock and background stamp the swirl randomly with white stazon. Embellish with pink pearls. Adhere the petal flower to your clear cardstock. Designed by: Emma Lou

I stamped the image "Rose Cup" (861 C) onto white c.s., three times, using Brilliance Graphite Black ink and then colored the image with my prismacolor markers , White Gel pen and Glaze Gelly Roll Pen (clear). Used classic regtangal Nestabilities to cut/embossed it out. I sponged around the image with Aqua (Ranger) craft ink. I also papertoled the image with 2 layers (you can see a picture that shows the dimension better). Then, I stamped sentiment "With Love" (152A) used "Hint of Pesto" (Versa Magic) ink. I layered it onto an embossed c.s. and Designer paper. I made the border using my edge punch (Fiskars) and layering that cute Bow with Silk ribbon onto border. " I stamped the "Strawberry Border" (#583E) onto white c.s., using Brilliance Graphite Black ink and then colored the image with my Prismacolor pencils, White Gel pen and Glaze Gelly Pen (clear). Used Long rectangle Nestabilities to cut/embossed it out. I sponged around the edges with Sandal craft ink. Then, I layered it onto a patterned paper ("Latte" from DCWV). I added another berry (also colored, cut out) and popped it up in the middle of berry. You can see the picture that shows the dimension better. To finish the card, I added some gemstones, buttons with threat, a sentiment "Happy Day" (#825A), butterfles (#832AA; 836AA - stamped, colored, cut out and popped it up the image with foam squares), a floral lace edge (Martha Stewart) and of course, a paper piercer.

I stamped the Lily Rose on white c.s. with graphite black brilliance and colored with shimmer chalks. I used our oval cutter and cut it out and layered it on light pink c.s. I used one of my new tools to create this card, (the scor pal), I don't know how I ever lived without it. If you look real closely you will see diamond imprints in the background. I used my scor pal to create that look and then I stamped the Rosebud Border in the center of the diamonds with the glue pad and colored with chalks. Add a ribbon and some dewdrops. I love the spring flowers that are blooming and I used one of the flowering trees as a backdrop for this card. Simply Stunning!

Circle/Oval Cutter

Cut out 5 circles with the circle cutter, and decorate them. Fold each one in half, with the decorated side on the inside fold. Glue the circle halves back to back. Layer on a piece of cardstock. Outside measurements for this card are 6x6, But you can make a much smaller card by using a smaller circle. This is an awesome card, and you can flatten the circles, put it into an envelope, and once it arrives the circles pop right up again.

Stamp the Cherry Cluster in Black and Emboss. Color with tombows and layer it on a couple pieces of cardstock. Stamp the cherry background randomly with lipstick red chalk ink. Stamp the Cheery Swirl on vellum and tear. Highlight the Cherry Cluster with Crystal Laquer and the cherries in the background with glitter. layer with some background paper, add some ribbon and you have a stunning card

Happy Wednesday Everybody,

Stamp the Mountain Meadow in black and emboss. Color the image with chalks. Cut the image out with the oval cutter and matte on a dk blue oval. Stamp the Rocky Foreground randomly on the bottom of an olive colored card, color with chalks. Make a couple cuts with the xacto knifes in the rocks. Stamp, color and cut out the Whitetail and insert the legs behind the rocks. This makes a great card for those special guys in your life.

Stamp the pink background paper with the brown stazon using the paw print and scroll stamp. Layer a pink and brown scallop circle and glue your pic on top. Embellish with flowers, stamps, and ribbons. For all you scrapbookers, this sample is for you.... and there are more to come.

You are thinking what a combination....right. Oh, believe me, we had such a blast creating these cards. I find that the more I stamp the more ideas I get and the ball keeps rolling. Most of the time I do like to be mentally prepared before I enter my studio. I get so much more accomplished if I know which stamps I want to use and have a general idea of how I'm going to put it together. So, if you have a limited time to stamp.... here's a tip for you, when you are driving down the road think of all those stamps you have and start creating cards in your mind. That is my Heartfelt tip of the week. So here you go.....

Circle/Oval Cutter
Stamp the Lily Pad Stamp in black and emboss, color in with tombow markers and cut out. Stamp the flower multiple times, cut it out and layer it 3 dimensionally on top of the main flower. On a separate piece of paper, ink the water, of the Mallards in Flight stamp, in black, stamp randomly multiple times. Cut the water out with an oval cutter,color and then layer it on a dk green cardstock. Ink up the 2 bulrush weeds on the Mallard stamp and stamp it 2 times, color and cut out the bulrush weeds with a craft knife. Put 3-d dots behind the Lily Pad and adhere to your oval panel. Layer the weeds in behind the Lily Pad. Layer on a hot pink cardstock and stamp the thinking of you in black in the top center. Add Crystal lacquer and some crystal glitter. This is card is very 3-d, my personal favorite of the week, the frog is such a cute little boogger, especially with little crystal lacquer highlights n his back!

Circle/Oval Cutter
Stamp the Bathing Bunny in black and emboss. Color in with chalks. Use the Circle/Oval Cutter and cut out the stamped Bathing Bunny. When the cutter blade reaches the edge of the first flower, just lift the blade and drop it again once it's past the image, repeat until the circle is completed. Go back and cut out the rest of the image with a scissors. Layer on a lavender circle for matting. Stamp the Bathing Bunny on another piece of cardstock, cut out 4 of the leaves and layer them 3-d on the main image. Put some gems in the center of the violets. Layer it on a couple pieces of cardstock and stamp the Prayers stamp in wisteria chalk ink. Add ribbon and some glittery brads and you have a gorgeous card. This Bathing Bunny is very versatile because you can interpret the facial expression to match the sentiment you want to use on your card. Example; he looks like he's praying, missing someone, thinking of you, wishing you well.

Stamp the Lg Mother's Day Bouquet in Graphite Black brilliance on cream cardstock and emboss with detail clear. Color in with Tombow Markers. Cut out with the circle/oval cutter and matte on dk. brown cardstock, and edge with some delicate lace. Take a patterned paper and cut 3 same size panels and layer them on a dk burgundy cardstock and finish it off by layering it on a dk brown card. Add some pearls for embellishments, very elegant and vintage.

Stamp the Iris in Black, emboss, and color in with tombows. Add some glitter to the flowers to make them pop and of course add some yellow crushed velvet in the center and it truly feels like a real iris! Layer the Iris on a dk purple and an olive cardstock. Layer on a patterned paper and stamp the scroll birthday on the bottom right hand corner. Matte on a dk purple cardstock and use the sunburst border punch and punch a border on the top and the bottom. Layer on another patterned paper and wowser, very coool!!!

Tulip Extravaganza

This is my second week of posting. I am having so much fun with this, and enjoyed all the feedback of last week. As you can see, we used an assortment of the different tulip stamps we carry for this weeks theme. Wow, I didn't realize we had quite this many, but it is amazing what you can do with so many different tulips and get a totally different look. Enjoy!

This tulip basket was stamped on clear cardstock with the stazon black. We put the dries clear glue on the back and sprinkled different colors of glitter over it and then once the glue is dry the glitter will show thru in the front. This pic doesn't do the card justice. Layer it with 2 colors of cardstock and you have a showstopper card. The clear cardstock is not available online yet, it just came in this week. You can call our ordering line or check back later in the week to order it online.

Stamp and emboss the tulip basket in black and color with tombows, highlight with glitter, cut it out, and layer it on some glittery background papers and you have a very cheery, springy card.

Stamp and emboss the dutch tulips in gold and color with tombow markers. Layer it on 2 matted circles. Stamp the fruits of the spirit background with the dark moss chalk ink pad on a cream cardstock. Add a ribbon and highlight with glitter.

Stamp the terracotta pot and the single tulip in black and emboss, color in with tombows. Cut a slit in the pot and insert flower stem. Cut out 3 different color panels in the shape of an oval and layer. Layer on multiple papers and embellish with brads and ribbon.
This makes a very vibrant and cheery card!

Directions:

Stamp the Old Mill in Graphite Black Brilliance ink and emboss with detail clear embossing powder.
Color the image with Tombow Markers. Marker colors that were used: 025, 158, 133, 990, 977, 969, 491, 555, N95, 837, 800, 850, N00.
Using our new circle cutter, set it at 4" and cut it out. We matted it on another layer of cardstock and cut the scallop with a scissors. Add ribbon and your choice of coordinating cardstock.
These are 3 variations, by just laying it out differently and using different cardstock colors. It creates a totally different look, while still using the same stamps!
We applied glitter using the Art Dries Clear Glue and the Fine Metal Tip. Glitter colors used: gazelle, thyme, teal, and miss muffet. Take the crystal lacquer and fill in the water areas.
